Fine Print

The terms, rules, and legal bits.

All collapsed below. Everything's standard — no surprises.

Build: $3,000 CAD total · 50% deposit ($1,500) at signing · 50% balance ($1,500) on delivery.

Seasonal growth plan: $300/mo peak (April 1 – November 1) · $124/mo winter (November 1 – April 1). Switch happens automatically at month boundaries.

When the growth plan is due:

  • Option A — Annual prepay ($2,600): due alongside the final $1,500 build payment, after the build is complete. Single Interac transfer covers all 12 months.
  • Option B — Monthly: first charge on the 1st of the month after launch. Subsequent months auto-billed on the 1st. Year 1 total: $2,720.

Payment method: Interac e-Transfer to scott@kaizenshift.com for everything — deposit, balance, monthly growth plan, annual prepay. Bank-to-bank, no fees, instant confirmation in your inbox.

Tax: All prices inclusive. No GST surprise on invoices.

  1. Revisions: 3 rounds on homepage, 2 rounds on each interior page. Beyond that = $125/hr.
  2. Content deadline: Your materials due within 7 days of deposit. Late = launch shifts 1:1.
  3. Response SLA: I respond within 1 business day. You respond to approvals within 3 business days.
  4. "Small update": text edits, photo swaps, pricing changes, seasonal banners. NOT: new pages, custom features, integrations beyond Workiz form.
  5. Page count: 8 pages in initial build. Additional = $300/page.
  6. Workiz automations beyond form sync: Separate engagement, billable.
  7. No ranking/revenue guarantees. Best practices applied; outcomes depend on algorithms, competition, your service quality.
  8. Growth plan rate lock: 12 months from launch.
  9. Cancellation: 30 days' notice either side. You keep the website.
  10. Out-of-scope work: $125/hr or $500 per 5-hr block.

Build is complete when all of the following are true:

  • All 8 pages live on gorillaguttergang.com
  • Mobile + desktop render correctly (screenshots delivered)
  • Quote form submits end-to-end to Workiz (test verified)
  • Lighthouse Performance >85 mobile (report delivered)
  • Domain points to Vercel, SSL active
  • Admin dashboard login works
  • Handoff email with credentials + QA report delivered

You have 7 business days after delivery to flag anything that doesn't meet spec. After 7 days with no response, build is accepted and final $1,500 balance is due.

This Services Agreement is between Kaizen Shift (10238 103st NW Edmonton AB) and Ashtin Lawson / Gorilla Gutter Gang Inc. Signing via Interac deposit constitutes acceptance.

IP: On final payment, all code, copy, images, design become Client's property. Consultant retains portfolio rights + underlying reusable frameworks.

Confidentiality: Both parties maintain discretion on non-public business information.

Liability: Consultant's total liability capped at fees paid under this Agreement. Client indemnifies against third-party claims arising from Client's business operations.

No Outcome Guarantees: Best practices applied. No specific traffic, ranking, or revenue outcome is guaranteed.

Non-Solicitation: Neither party solicits the other's employees or contractors for 24 months.

Governance: Alberta, Canada law. Disputes: good-faith discussion → mediation → arbitration in Alberta. Prevailing party recovers legal fees.
